Manchester United Intensify Efforts to Sign Lille Defender Leny Yoro – Latest Transfer News

Manchester United Eyeing Defensive Reinforcements

Manchester United is keen on securing Lille centre-back Leny Yoro as they continue to strengthen their defense for the 2024/25 season. Despite pursuing other targets, United shows strong interest in Yoro, who desires a move to Real Madrid. However, Madrid’s reluctance to meet Lille’s asking price could complicate the transfer, making it an open race.

United also maintains a focus on Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt. Talks are ongoing, with de Ligt showing interest in joining the English club. An offer has already been made, and negotiations over the transfer fee continue, reflecting United’s determination to bolster their defensive lineup.

Another target, Jarrad Branthwaite, has seen United’s initial bid fall short of Everton’s £70m valuation. Frustration grows as the deal lingers, possibly prompting an improved offer. Alongside United, clubs like Liverpool and PSG are also showing willingness to meet Lille’s £34m valuation for Yoro, making the competition for his signature intense.
