She also shone in eight world championships, clinching three gold medals and five silvers, and was named Best Forward in 2008. Her prowess also led the University of Minnesota to a national championship in 2005, where she scored the decisive goal.
Wendell-Pohl showcased her talents for the U.S. from 1999-2007, notching 106 goals in 147 games. She claimed a silver medal in 2002 and a bronze in 2006, where she served as captain. She participated in six IIHF World Championships, notably earning MVP honors in 2005 during the U.S.’s first gold medal win, complemented by five silver medals.
Poile, with 40 years as a general manager, started in 1982 with the Washington Capitals before founding the Nashville Predators. At the 2023 NHL Draft, he passed the baton to Barry Trotz. Poile is the only GM to oversee 3,000 regular-season games and to achieve 1,500 wins. His teams reached the playoffs in 29 of 38 seasons. Campbell, involved in NHL operations for 25 years, won the Stanley Cup as an associate coach in 1994. He played a pivotal role in modernizing rules and enhancing game speed and skill. The Class of 2024 induction is scheduled for Nov. 11 in Toronto.
