Dodgers, Dave Roberts agree to a record-breaking four-year extension that positions him as the highest-paid manager in Major League Baseball, as reported by multiple sources. This agreement underscores the organization’s commitment to maintaining stability and excellence within their ranks.
The new contract, which will see Roberts in the Dodgers’ dugout through 2028, is rumored to be worth over $8 million per year. Previously, Chicago Cubs manager Craig Counsell held the title of the highest-paid manager in MLB, thanks to a five-year, $40 million contract extension he signed in 2023.
As the winningest manager in Dodgers history, Roberts boasts an impressive .627 win percentage (851-507). The 52-year-old leader has also steered the team to eight National League division titles and celebrated five seasons with over 100 wins, solidifying his legacy within the franchise.
Before his managerial success, Roberts was a player who celebrated a World Series victory in 2004 with the Boston Red Sox, adding a personal touch to his understanding of the game from both sides of the field.
