Youssef En-Nesyri Nears Transfer to Roma
Youssef En-Nesyri is close to joining Roma, having previously been linked with a move to Fenerbahce. Reports from El Nacional indicate that the Moroccan striker has declined Fenerbahce’s proposal and opted for Roma. Roma’s project and the allure of playing in Serie A played significant roles in his decision. Daniele De Rossi’s direct persuasion also contributed, highlighting the club’s ambitions and future plans.
Previously, Fenerbahce’s initial offer of 15 million euros was countered by adding a technical counterpart to boost value, yet this strategy failed. Roma, on the other hand, has reportedly made a substantial 30 million euro offer to Sevilla. Sevilla stood firm, requiring at least 20 million euros for En-Nesyri’s move. This decisive bid indicates Roma’s serious interest, exacerbated by the potential departure of striker Tammy Abraham, who has caught AC Milan’s attention.
Roma aims to finalize the transfer swiftly, with a meeting scheduled with En-Nesyri and his representatives for next Monday. This strategic acquisition not only addresses a key position but also aligns with Roma’s broader aspirations in Serie A, ensuring they remain competitive and poised for success.
