The Browns and kicker Dustin Hopkins have secured a three-year, $15.9 million extension, making him one of the NFL’s top five highest-paid kickers. In the 2023 season, Hopkins showcased his prowess by making a franchise-record 33 of 36 field goal attempts, including a career-long 58-yard field goal, and setting an NFL record with five consecutive games of at least 50-yard field goals.
Previously facing career challenges, Hopkins turned things around after joining the Browns from the Los Angeles Chargers. This move was made just before the 2023 season in exchange for a 2025 seventh-round pick. Hopkins began his NFL journey with the Buffalo Bills in 2013 but struggled to find a stable position, being cut by Buffalo, New Orleans Saints, and Washington Commanders.
