Dillon Gabriel, a sixth-year senior, is at the helm of an Oregon team that is a strong contender for the national championship this season.

He made headlines last season at Oklahoma, where he threw for 3,660 yards and 30 touchdowns, alongside 12 rushing touchdowns, guiding the Sooners to a respectable 9-3 finish.

Interestingly, Gabriel was also featured as the fourth-highest-rated quarterback in the upcoming “College Football 25” video game, reflecting his strong presence in the college football landscape.

Among those rated higher than him in the game are Carson Beck and Quinn Ewers, both of whom are also in contention for the Heisman.

Carson Beck, the quarterback for the University of Georgia, led his team to an undefeated regular season in 2023. His odds remain unchanged at +800, reflecting his consistent performance.

Despite a setback in the SEC Championship against Alabama, where the Bulldogs fell 27-24, Beck’s impressive stats include 3,941 passing yards and 24 touchdowns, capping off the season with a commanding 63-3 victory over Florida State in the Orange Bowl.

In third place, Quinn Ewers of Texas has seen his odds shift from +950 to +1200. Last season, he amassed 3,479 passing yards and 22 touchdowns, leading the Longhorns to the playoffs, although they were defeated by Washington in the Sugar Bowl semifinal.

Among the long shots, Shedeur Sanders from Colorado has maintained his odds at +3500, following a season where he threw for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns, and only three interceptions.

RJ Young, a national college football analyst for FOX Sports, ranked Sanders as the top player in college football, citing both his skill on the field and his immense popularity, which has made him the top-selling college football player in the NIL era.

Expert Insight from Sammy P:

Watch Noah Fifita and Cam Rising

January is a time to find value in the Heisman race. Currently, the favorites’ odds are likely to remain stable through the summer.

Sammy P is looking at two intriguing long shots: Noah Fifita, whose odds have shifted from +2000 to +4000, and Cam Rising, currently at +4000 after starting at +7000.

Rising, a dynamic player, previously threw for 3,000 yards and accounted for 32 touchdowns before missing all of 2023 due to an ACL injury. If he performs well, his odds could shrink significantly.

Stay tuned to FOX Sports as the Heisman odds continue to evolve throughout the 2024 season!
