Tyler Adams Poised for Comeback at Bournemouth, Coach Hails Star’s Readiness!

USMNT star Tyler Adams is ready for Bournemouth return, says coach

Tyler Adams is ready for his much-anticipated return to the pitch as Bournemouth faces Arsenal in the Premier League this Saturday.

“He lacks some game time, but that is normal,” commented Bournemouth’s manager, Andoni Iraola, on Friday. “He is feeling very well, doing well, has good sensations, and has trained very well during this international break with us. He is ready.”

The 25-year-old midfielder, who captained the U.S. national team during the 2022 World Cup, underwent back surgery in early July, which marked a significant recovery period for him.

Last season, Adams faced challenges, appearing in only three EPL matches due to a hamstring injury that kept him sidelined from late September until mid-March. After making a brief return for two games, he struggled with back spasms, preventing him from contributing further after March 30.

In a notable performance, Adams played the full match for the U.S. in a Copa América group stage elimination against Uruguay on July 1, just days before his surgery.

Recently, Adams was not selected for the U.S. squad under new coach Mauricio Pochettino for friendlies against Panama and Mexico. The U.S. secured a 2-0 win over Panama but suffered a similar defeat to Mexico on Tuesday night.

Looking ahead, Adams could potentially rejoin the national team for the two-leg CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinal against Jamaica next month, marking a significant return to international competition.
