Rookie Rece Hinds Smashes 2 Home Runs in First Two MLB Games During Reds Victory

Rookie Rece Hinds Shines in Reds Victory

Rookie outfielder Rece Hinds continued his electrifying start in the majors, crushing a 458-foot homer as the Cincinnati Reds sailed to a 12-6 win over the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday. Promoted from Triple-A Louisville, the 23-year-old Hinds hit another long homer, marking his second in two nights. He narrowly missed the cycle, receiving a standing ovation as the Reds secured their second consecutive win.

Hinds, the Reds’ No. 15 prospect, has already made a significant impact with 907 feet of home runs in his first two games. This places him second in history for the longest distance of homers in a player’s first two games since 2006. Reds manager David Bell praised Hinds’ confident play and contributions to the team’s victories, describing it as a great start for the young outfielder.

Supporting Hinds’ stellar performance, Will Benson hit a three-run homer, and Tyler Stephenson and Spencer Steer also went deep. While Reds starter Nick Lodolo had a rocky start, reliever Nick Martini and a string of six other relievers helped secure the win. Despite a late rally from the Rockies, the Reds maintained their comfortable lead, showcasing a strong all-around team effort.
