Micah Parsons Calls Out DeMarcus Lawrence Over Cowboys’ Super Bowl Doubts!

Micah Parsons beefs with DeMarcus Lawrence for shading Cowboys' Super Bowl chances

Micah Parsons beefs with DeMarcus Lawrence over comments that cast doubt on the Dallas Cowboys’ Super Bowl chances. The two players, who were teammates for four seasons in Dallas, now find themselves at odds following Lawrence’s recent move to the Seattle Seahawks.

Lawrence, having spent his entire career with the Cowboys, signed a three-year deal with the Seahawks on Thursday. This announcement coincided with an interview where he expressed his frustrations about winning a championship in Dallas.

“Dallas is my home,” Lawrence stated to Hawk Blogger. “I made my home there, my family lives there. I’m forever gonna be there, but I know for sure I’m not going to win a Super Bowl there.”

“So, we here,” he added, emphasizing his commitment to his new team.

Parsons caught wind of these remarks and took to social media to respond. “This what rejection and envy look like! This some clown s—!” he posted, showcasing his displeasure with Lawrence’s comments.

Lawrence quickly replied, adding fuel to the fire of their rivalry. He pointed out that the last time the Cowboys reached the NFC Championship Game was a long time ago, marking a significant drought in the franchise’s history.

“The ball is in their court,” Lawrence noted. “I’m going to have other options, but I’d like to stay here. It would be a glorious thing.”

Ultimately, “the offer wasn’t there” for Lawrence, leading him to the Pacific Northwest on a deal valued at up to $42 million.

Drafted in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft, Lawrence made a name for himself with four Pro Bowl selections during his tenure with the Cowboys. Despite battling a Lisfranc injury that limited him to just four games last season, he finished with 61.5 career sacks, ranking him 10th in franchise history.

Parsons, who has recorded 52.5 sacks in just four seasons, sits at 13th place on the Cowboys’ all-time list.

Interestingly, the Cowboys and Seahawks will not face each other in the regular season. If Parsons and Lawrence do meet again on the field, it will likely be in the playoffs of 2025.

Should that matchup occur, Lawrence might want to brace himself for a chilly reception from his former teammate, who could mirror the Seattle weather Lawrence described as “cold.”
