According to video footage shared by TMZ Sports, Rice told one of the reporters, "I will f*** you up," and continued to challenge them until security intervened. Rice later explained he interpreted the question as a dig against his former team, the San Francisco 49ers, who had lost to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. The incident ended with conflicting accounts from both sides, with one reporter suggesting that Rice might have been intoxicated, an assertion that remains unverified.
In response, Starcade Media, the employer of the reporters, emphasized that their intent was not to provoke Rice and maintained that there were no disrespectful smirks.
