Fan Survey: Penn State Football’s Blueprint for Measuring Success in Upcoming Season

As July unfolds, it’s time to revisit an engaging tradition. Back in the summer of 2020, I sought your thoughts on Penn State football’s status. Fast forward, and the landscape has radically shifted. Now, Oregon, Washington, USC, and UCLA are conference rivals. The era of name, image, and likeness (NIL) legislation is here, altering dynamics for players and fans. Conversations swirl around NIL collectives and potential donor fatigue.

Penn State football, under James Franklin, has found stability, boasting a 22-5 record over the past two seasons. They claimed a Rose Bowl victory and faced defeat in the Peach Bowl. Meanwhile, Ohio State and Michigan have furthered their lead in a now-defunct Big Ten East division. Be prepared for changes as Beaver Stadium undergoes multi-phase renovations, transforming the backdrop of fall Saturdays.

Now, I invite you to share your insights once more. Participate in The Athletic’s football fan survey to voice your opinions. Results and analysis will be shared next week. (Note: For Android app users, use two fingers to scroll through the survey or try the direct link if issues persist.)
