Ed Policy Named Next CEO of Green Bay Packers
In a major leadership shift, Edward R. Policy will succeed Mark Murphy as the Green Bay Packers’ next Chairman of the Board, President, and CEO. Policy, currently the Chief Operating Officer, will step into his new role in July 2025 when Murphy retires. The Packers’ Board of Directors unanimously elected Policy, acknowledging his 12-year contribution to the organization and his instrumental role in the success of various initiatives like Titletown.

Policy remains committed to his COO responsibilities while gearing up for his future leadership duties. Reflecting on his tenure, Policy expressed gratitude for Murphy’s mentorship and emphasized his dedication to building on the past successes, focusing on community impact and pursuing the Lombardi Trophy.
The thorough search for the new CEO involved over 90 candidates and was spearheaded by a diverse committee. Policy’s extensive experience in professional sports and his leadership in developing areas like Titletown and TitletownTech played a pivotal role in his selection. His tenure at the Arena Football League and previous legal expertise further underscore his qualifications. Ed and his family have embraced the Green Bay community, marking this new chapter as both a personal and professional milestone.
