Ex-Rams WR Cooper Kupp signs a reported three-year, $45 million deal with the Seattle Seahawks.
Just two days after his release from the Los Angeles Rams, the talented wide receiver from Washington is set to join the Seahawks, as reported by FOX Sports’ Jordan Schultz.
Other teams, including the Denver Broncos, Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, and Jacksonville Jaguars, were also in the running to acquire Kupp’s services.
The Seahawks, who finished last season with a 10-7 record but fell short of the playoffs, recently made significant roster changes. They traded quarterback Geno Smith and wide receiver DK Metcalf and released veteran Tyler Lockett. In contrast, Seattle has bolstered its lineup by signing former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold to a lucrative three-year, $100.5 million deal, alongside former Cowboys defensive end Demarcus Lawrence, who inked a three-year, $42 million contract.
Kupp, a standout at Eastern Washington University, earned the title of AP Offensive Player of the Year in 2021. That season, he achieved the receiving triple crown, catching 145 passes for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns. His postseason performance was equally impressive, with 33 receptions for 478 yards and six touchdowns, including the game-winning score in Super Bowl LVI against the Cincinnati Bengals.
As a one-time All-Pro, Kupp has consistently demonstrated his skills, surpassing 1,000 receiving yards and scoring double-digit touchdowns in two seasons each (2019 and 2021). He dedicated the first eight years of his NFL career to the Rams from 2017 to 2024.
