Christian Pulisic Shines with Two Goals in AC Milan’s Thrilling Comeback Victory!

Christian Pulisic scores brace in AC Milan's comeback win to snap 3-game losing streak

Christian Pulisic scored a brace in AC Milan’s comeback win on Saturday, propelling the Rossoneri to a thrilling 3-2 victory over Lecce and snapping a three-game losing streak in Serie A.

Pulisic’s remarkable performance began with him winning and converting a penalty, leveling the match at 2-2 after Lecce had initially taken a 2-0 lead. The American forward, affectionately known as “Captain America,” then netted the decisive goal late in the match, securing the much-needed victory for his team.

This win lifted AC Milan to eighth place in the Italian league standings, while Lecce remained just three points clear of the relegation zone, highlighting the intense competition at both ends of the table.

Meanwhile, city rivals Inter Milan were set to face Monza later in the day, aiming to widen their lead at the top of the table.

Milan had been struggling, having recently been eliminated from the Champions League by Feyenoord, and their home form had been dismal. The match against Lecce started with a disallowed goal from Santiago Gimenez, who found the net just 47 seconds in, only for it to be ruled offside.

Lecce took the lead within seven minutes, thanks to a stunning long-range shot from Nikola Krstovic. This goal marked Lecce’s first in 367 minutes, as they had gone goalless in their previous four matches.

Both sides came close to scoring again, hitting the woodwork before Krstovic added his second goal in the 59th minute, converting a low cross into the bottom corner.

However, Milan responded dramatically within five minutes. An attempt from João Félix, which seemed to be going wide, deflected off Lecce defender Antonino Gallo for an own goal. Pulisic then equalized in the 73rd minute with a powerful penalty kick after being brought down by Federico Baschirotto.

With just nine minutes remaining, Rafael Leao delivered a perfectly placed free kick that Pulisic volleyed home at the back post, completing the remarkable turnaround.
