2024 MLB Cy Young Award odds are shaping up, with Tarik Skubal emerging as a significant favorite in the American League.

Skubal, boasting a remarkable 16-4 record for the Detroit Tigers, has posted an impressive 2.51 ERA, the best in Major League Baseball. With 201 strikeouts, he stands tied for first in the league, showcasing his dominance on the mound.

This season marks a milestone for him, as he earned his first selection to the All-Star Game.

In the National League, Chris Sale of the Atlanta Braves is also a strong contender. With a 15-3 record, Sale has a 2.58 ERA, ranking second in the league, and has recorded 197 strikeouts, placing him tied for third.

According to the latest odds from DraftKings Sportsbook as of September 3, the Cy Young race is heating up.

Just a month ago, the Cy Young race was still competitive, but Skubal has taken significant strides to solidify his position as the frontrunner in the AL.

In his last five appearances, he has gone 4-0, striking out 39 batters and allowing only eight earned runs over 32 innings pitched.

Sale’s odds have also improved in the NL race. Previously listed at +110 on August 6, he has now overtaken competitors like Paul Skenes and Zack Wheeler.

During this stretch, Sale has achieved a 2-0 record in five starts, with 42 strikeouts in 30.2 innings while allowing seven earned runs.
