NFL ends investigation into sexual assault allegations against Deshaun Watson

The NFL has officially concluded its investigation into the sexual assault allegations against Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson.

For several months, the league scrutinized the situation to ascertain if Watson would face any disciplinary action.

Watson has firmly rejected the allegations, with his attorney, Rusty Hardin, speaking on his behalf. At 29, Watson is currently focusing on recovery after suffering a season-ending Achilles tendon rupture in October, aiming for a successful return next season.

The Browns are still contractually obligated to pay Watson $46 million each of the next two years, stemming from a fully guaranteed $230 million agreement that has not yielded the expected results. Watson’s participation has been limited to just 19 games over the past three seasons due to suspensions and injuries, raising questions about the team’s future strategy and investment in the player.
