Dodgers’ Brusdar Graterol Faces Extended Absence After Undergoing Shoulder Surgery

Dodgers' Brusdar Graterol to miss first half of next season after shoulder surgery

Dodgers’ Brusdar Graterol will miss the first half of next season due to shoulder surgery aimed at repairing his labrum. This procedure was carried out on Thursday by the renowned Dr. Neal ElAttrache, as confirmed by the team on Friday.

The talented right-hander is anticipated to make his return in the latter part of the 2025 season, giving the Dodgers hope for a strong comeback.

During the recent season, Graterol participated in seven regular-season games and made three appearances in the World Series against the New York Yankees, contributing to the Dodgers’ five-game victory. In those World Series outings, he showcased his skills by allowing only three hits over 2 1/3 scoreless innings.

At 26 years old, Graterol faced challenges this season due to shoulder inflammation and a hamstring injury, which limited his performance.

Originally making his major league debut with the Minnesota Twins in 2019, Graterol was traded to the Dodgers prior to the 2020 season. Over his career, he has maintained a solid 2.78 ERA and recorded 11 saves across 188 games, showcasing his potential as a valuable asset for the team moving forward.
