Tom Brady’s Power Rankings: Vikings, Seahawks jump into Top 5 as Week 3 of the NFL season concludes. With the anticipation building for the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants as they prepare to kick off Week 4, FOX Sports’ lead NFL analyst is set to share his latest insights on the league’s elite teams.
Two NFC teams, both boasting unexpected 3-0 records, make their debut in the rankings. The question on everyone’s mind: who claims the top spot between the AFC powerhouses, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills?
Here are Brady’s selections for the top five teams following Week 3!
Week 3 result: Lost to Minnesota Vikings, 34-7
Brady’s thoughts: “Despite their loss to Minnesota, this team remains worthy of a top-five spot. With C.J. Stroud at the helm, they possess numerous offensive weapons that will help them rebound against the Jaguars. While their offensive line needs improvement, having allowed several sacks in recent games, this Texans squad is primed for a competitive season.”

Week 3 result: Defeated Miami Dolphins, 24-3
Brady’s thoughts: “The Pacific Northwest team should not be underestimated. Under the guidance of first-year head coach Mike Macdonald, they are off to a 3-0 start, significantly improving their defense, which ranked 30th last season. With standout performances from Geno Smith and D.K. Metcalf, they are set for a tough challenge against the Lions in Detroit on Monday night.”

Week 3 result: Defeated Houston Texans, 34-7
Brady’s thoughts: “The script has played out perfectly. After losing a quarterback to free agency, they drafted a first-round talent who then got injured, leading to Sam Darnold stepping in for a 3-0 start. It’s impressive to see what he has accomplished this season, especially under the leadership of his former teammate, Kevin O’Connell, who is a strong contender for Coach of the Year. This Vikings defense, with 16 sacks so far, is performing exceptionally well under Brian Flores, setting the stage for an exciting matchup against the Packers.”
Week 3 result: Defeated Jacksonville Jaguars, 47-10
Brady’s thoughts: “While it may be challenging for me to admit, this offense is nearly impossible to stop when firing on all cylinders. Their recent performance showcased their potential, scoring 47 points with 34 in the first half. Josh Allen is demonstrating his best form, effectively utilizing all available weapons and connecting with 10 different players for catches, four of whom scored touchdowns. As they face a tougher schedule ahead with three consecutive road games, including matchups against the Ravens, Texans, and Jets, it will be interesting to see if they can maintain this momentum. The upcoming ‘Sunday Night Football’ clash between Josh and Lamar Jackson is highly anticipated.”

Week 3 result: Defeated Atlanta Falcons, 22-17
Brady’s thoughts: “Though they haven’t displayed their usual dominance, the Chiefs are adept at finding ways to win, a hallmark of great teams. Patrick Mahomes continues to excel, establishing a solid connection with Rashee Rice, while Carson Steele has stepped up in the absence of Isiah Pacheco, contributing significantly to the offense. The classic connection between Patrick and Travis Kelce is expected to reignite soon, potentially during their upcoming game against the Chargers in Los Angeles.”

Brady’s final thoughts: “As Week 4 approaches, the schedule is packed with exciting matchups. Observing how the weekend unfolds and how these power rankings evolve will be intriguing.”
