Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez receives a six-month driving ban in the UK following a series of motoring offenses in Wales.
The 23-year-old athlete was absent from court during his sentencing on Wednesday. Earlier this year, he was convicted on two counts of failing to identify the driver of a Porsche Cayenne.
The vehicle was reported to have run a red light in Llanelli last November and was subsequently caught speeding in Swansea the following month.
While it was not established that Fernandez was behind the wheel during these incidents, he remains the registered owner of the car.
Despite his recent appearance for Argentina in Colombia, Fernandez did not respond to inquiries from the police regarding the driver’s identity.
In addition to the driving ban, he has been ordered to pay a total of 3,020 pounds (approximately $4,000) in fines and legal costs.
