Top 10 names to watch in The Basketball Tournament include a standout from Columbus, Ohio. Jared Sullinger, a two-time consensus first-team All-American, is set to make a significant return to the court for Carmen’s Crew. After four years as the head coach of the Ohio State alumni team, he is ready to showcase his skills again. 

Sullinger played a crucial role in securing the 2019 TBT championship for Carmen’s Crew. Standing at 6 feet 9 inches, he became a basketball legend during his time under coach Thad Matta at Ohio State. A two-time Mr. Ohio Basketball in high school, Sullinger led OSU to victory in the 2011 Big Ten Tournament, earning the title of Most Outstanding Player. Over two seasons, he averaged 17.3 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. Following a five-year career in the NBA, he ventured internationally and was named the MVP of the Chinese Basketball Association last year while playing for the Shenzhen Leopards. Fans can catch Sullinger and Carmen’s Crew in their TBT opener against Purple Hearts from the Dayton Regional this Saturday at 7 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network.
