Kenyan Drake Retires After Eight Remarkable NFL Seasons

Running back Kenyan Drake announced on social media that he is retiring from the NFL after an eight-season career. "It’s been an incredible ride," Drake shared on Instagram. Reflecting on his journey, he expressed gratitude for the wins, moments, camaraderie, and energy he’s experienced. Now, he’s looking forward to enjoying retirement and exploring the next chapter of his life.

Drake’s NFL journey began when the Miami Dolphins selected him in the third round of the 2016 draft after a successful four-year stint at Alabama. During his time with the Crimson Tide, he accumulated 1,495 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns. With the Dolphins, Drake gradually became a key player, amassing 883 scrimmage yards in 2017. One of his most memorable moments came in 2018 when he scored the game-winning touchdown in the famous "Miracle in Miami" against the New England Patriots.

Throughout his career, Drake played for several teams, including the Dolphins, Arizona Cardinals, Las Vegas Raiders, Baltimore Ravens, and most recently, the Green Bay Packers. His best season was with the Cardinals in 2019, where he achieved a career-high 955 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. Despite his release by the Raiders in 2022, he continued to contribute to other teams, making one appearance with the Packers. Kenyan Drake leaves the NFL with a legacy of exciting plays and consistent performance.
