The Jaguars are gearing up to celebrate their 30th season in 2024 with a nostalgic twist. Jacksonville announced on Thursday that they’ll don their 90s-style “Prowler” throwback jerseys for their Week 5 game against the Colts. This special occasion will also see former head coach Tom Coughlin inducted into the Pride of the Jaguars.
Fans have been vocal about their desire to see the team in throwback uniforms. Mark Lamping, Jaguars president, confirmed that the return of the original jerseys, which were worn from 1995 until 2009, is in response to this demand. These retro uniforms will also feature the classic helmet logo used from 1995-2013, connecting fans to the team’s early years.
Jacksonville’s announcement was accompanied by a social media video starring former right tackle Leon Searcy, alongside current players Andre Cisco and Tyson Campbell. This marks a significant event for the Jaguars as they celebrate their legacy and the induction of their inaugural head coach, Tom Coughlin, while uniting fans with a cherished piece of their history.
