Alex Telles Ponders European Return After Year in Saudi Pro League
Alex Telles, formerly of Manchester United, is considering coming back to European football after a season in the Saudi Pro League. Manchester United signed the Brazilian left-back from Porto for £15.4 million in 2020. Telles, often a substitute for Luke Shaw, made 50 appearances due to Shaw’s injuries, particularly during the 2021/22 season. After a loan spell at Sevilla in 2022, Telles transferred to Al-Nassr, reuniting with Cristiano Ronaldo, for £4 million in July 2023.
The 31-year-old appeared in 27 matches in Saudi Arabia’s top league, contributing to six clean sheets and scoring two goals. Yet, merely a year later, Telles seems to yearn for a return to Europe. Journalist Rudy Galetti disclosed that Telles received an offer from an unnamed Turkish club. Galetti noted that Telles is considering the proposal, and Al-Nassr is open to selling him if the bid is suitable.
Telles’ potential move back to Europe comes with a transfer market valuation of €6 million. Fans eager for updates on Manchester United can join a dedicated WhatsApp channel for real-time news.
