United States women’s national team veteran Crystal Dunn has officially joined Paris Saint-Germain, securing her place with the club through the 2027 season.
This exciting development follows Dunn’s recent departure from Gotham FC in the National Women’s Soccer League, marking a significant shift in her career.
“I’m thrilled to begin this new chapter,” Dunn expressed in a statement from PSG. “It was essential for me to find a club that not only believes in my abilities as a player but also welcomes my family. I feel a strong connection to France and already sense that I’m at home here.”
Dunn’s ties to France run deeper, as her husband is French, and together they are raising their 3-year-old son, Marcel.
At 32 years old, Dunn transitioned to Gotham FC as a free agent in late 2023, where she played one season, participating in 23 matches and contributing one goal and two assists.
Prior to her time at Gotham, Dunn played for the Portland Thorns, taking a break in 2022 for the birth of her son. Her impressive career also includes stints with the North Carolina Courage, Chelsea in the English Women’s Super League, and the Washington Spirit.
A New York native, Dunn was part of the U.S. team that clinched a gold medal at the Paris Olympics last summer and contributed to the squad that won the 2019 Women’s World Cup.
Throughout her international career, Dunn has played in 154 matches for the United States, scoring 25 goals and providing 20 assists.
“As I turn the page and prepare for a new chapter, I am filled with excitement for what lies ahead,” Dunn shared on Instagram after leaving Gotham. “The journey continues, and I am committed to reaching new heights and becoming the best version of myself. Everything happens for a reason, and I’m ready to embrace this next phase of my career with passion, grace, and joy.”
