Tom Brady reveals his favorite Lambeau Field memories ahead of calling the San Francisco 49ers vs. Green Bay Packers game this Sunday.
The legendary quarterback, known for his seven Super Bowl victories, will be providing commentary on FOX (Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX and the FOX Sports app). Recently, during an interactive segment titled “Tom Brady’s Fan Mailbag,” he was asked about his most memorable moments at the Packers’ famed home stadium.
Brady shared, “I’ve had a few. I’ll give you two because there are two great memories.” He recalled his first experience at Lambeau, where he captured a video of himself walking down the tunnel to the field. “I felt like I was in hallowed grounds. It was one of the coolest experiences — not to mention I was playing against Brett Favre that day. It was an incredible memory.”
In his matchups against Favre, Brady held a 2-1 record, mirroring his overall success at Lambeau Field. His standout performance at this iconic venue came during the 2006 season, where he led the New England Patriots to a commanding 35-0 victory, throwing for 244 yards and four touchdowns without an interception.
While most of Brady’s notable experiences in Green Bay were as a member of the Patriots, he also cherishes a moment from his time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In January 2021, he faced off against Aaron Rodgers in the NFC Championship game, a thrilling contest that kept fans on the edge of their seats.
Despite a slow start, with Green Bay failing to score in the first quarter, they rallied to close the gap to 28-23 in the third. However, Tampa Bay held firm, ultimately winning 31-26. Brady’s stats for that game were impressive: 20 completions on 36 attempts for 280 yards and three touchdowns, securing his spot in a record 10th Super Bowl.
What stands out most for Brady about that game is a personal moment that followed. “The second memory was winning there in the NFC Championship game with the Bucs in the 2020 season. I had my oldest son, Jack, there at the game. He was about 14 years old at the time. He flew in from New York,” he explained.
Brady continued, “We won the game and my now-colleague, Erin Andrews, spotted him in the crowd and said, ‘Jack, come down and say hi to your dad.’ He was a little reluctant at first, but I have video from that day that was such a great memory, because I looked up in the stands and it was just the greatest joy being able to celebrate with him in that moment, and it was a day that I’ll never forget.”
As Brady prepares for another exciting day in the FOX Sports booth, fans eagerly await his insights and reflections on the game.
