Suns star Kevin Durant out at least one week with a sprained ankle suffered vs. Spurs

Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant will be sidelined for at least a week due to a sprained left ankle sustained during Tuesday night’s victory against the San Antonio Spurs.

The team confirmed the injury’s severity on Wednesday, indicating that Durant will undergo re-evaluation in one week’s time.

The 14-time All-Star injured his ankle while making a drive to the basket late in the second quarter of the Suns’ 104-93 win. He remained in the game briefly but ultimately checked out, concluding the night with 13 points.

Earlier this season, Durant missed approximately two weeks due to a strained left calf. The 36-year-old forward has been performing at a high level, averaging 25.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game this year, making his absence a significant concern for the Suns.
