Saquon Barkley and Jayden Daniels have emerged as the standout winners of “The NFL on FOX Podcast” awards, as fans eagerly anticipate Super Bowl LIX on February 9 at 6:30 p.m. ET on FOX and the FOX Sports app. The podcast conducted a vote to recognize exceptional performances during the 2024 NFL season.

MVP: Philadelphia Eagles RB Saquon Barkley
Saquon Barkley showcased his skills in a remarkable debut season with the Philadelphia Eagles. He led the NFL with 2,005 rushing yards, achieving a career-high of 13 touchdowns and averaging an impressive 5.8 yards per carry. As a three-time Pro Bowler, Barkley joined an elite group by becoming only the ninth player in NFL history to surpass 2,000 rushing yards in a single season. His postseason performance was equally impressive, amassing 442 rushing yards and five touchdowns in three playoff games, including three touchdowns of over 60 yards.
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels
Jayden Daniels made a significant impact during his rookie season with the Washington Commanders. He recorded 3,568 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, and nine interceptions, achieving a passer rating of 100.1 with a completion rate of 69.0%. On the ground, he added 891 rushing yards and six touchdowns, guiding the Commanders to the NFC Championship Game. In the playoffs, Daniels continued to shine, totaling 822 passing yards and five touchdowns, while maintaining a 97.9 passer rating.
Comeback Player of the Year: Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Darnold
Sam Darnold’s journey took a positive turn this season as he joined the Minnesota Vikings on a one-year contract after spending his first six seasons with three different teams. The Vikings enjoyed a successful 14-3 season, even though their playoff run ended in the wild-card round. Darnold set personal bests with 4,319 passing yards, 35 touchdowns, and a passer rating of 102.5, completing 66.2% of his passes.
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Los Angeles Rams LB Jared Verse
Jared Verse made his mark on the Rams’ defense with a versatile performance, recording 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and 66 combined tackles during the regular season. He ranked highly among linebackers, earning an 83.7 pass rush grade and an overall grade of 86.2 from Pro Football Focus. In the playoffs, he added a 57-yard scoop-and-score against the Vikings and two sacks against the Eagles.
Offensive Player of the Year: Philadelphia Eagles RB Saquon Barkley
Barkley not only secured the MVP title but also claimed the Offensive Player of the Year award. He delivered a record-setting performance with 255 rushing yards in a Week 12 victory over the Rams, marking the ninth-highest rushing total in a single game in NFL history. Additionally, he rushed for 205 yards in the divisional round, ranking fifth for rushing yards in a postseason game.
Defensive Player of the Year: Denver Broncos CB Pat Surtain II
Pat Surtain II had an outstanding season, helping the Denver Broncos return to the playoffs for the first time in nine years. The two-time All-Pro cornerback matched his career-high with four interceptions, returning them for an NFL-best 132 yards and one touchdown. He also recorded a forced fumble and a fumble recovery, contributing to 45 combined tackles while ranking highly among cornerbacks in overall and coverage grades.
