NFL Week 5 coverage map: TV schedule for CBS, Fox regional broadcasts

NFL coverage map week 5

The NFL is gearing up for another 12-game slate Sunday afternoon in Week 5. There are the usual three prime-time games and another game in London, which will be played alone on Sunday morning.

As usual, Fox and CBS are splitting their coverage of the Sunday afternoon games. As there is an even number of competitions this week, they will be split down the middle; Normally you have an advantage in terms of the number of matches broadcast, but that’s not the case this week.

However, Fox will air a doubleheader in Week 5, while CBS’s regional coverage will only include one game. So this is Fox’s week to gain the upper hand among broadcasting giants.

Fox will likely be looking to some of the NFC’s best teams to drive Week 5 coverage. The Buccaneers vs. Falcons game should be the marquee matchup in the early window, while most of America gets to see Cowboys vs. Rams in the afternoon.

As for CBS, its coverage will be more regionalized, but the focus will be on an interesting contest between the Bills and Steelers. Rookie Kenny Pickett is making his first career start against Buffalo’s stellar defense, so many fans will be interested in his performance.

TV schedule for NFL Week 5 games

The Week 5 Sunday Night Football matchup will feature an AFC North game between the Ravens and the Bengals. Last season, Cincinnati clearly beat Baltimore in the two meetings between the teams. Joe Burrow has prevailed against the Ravens’ blitz-heavy defense, but Lamar Jackson will be able to run on the Bengals’ defense if nose tackle DJ Reader is down.

“Monday Night Football” is also a Divisional matchup in Week 5. The Raiders (1-3) will look to upset the Chiefs (3-1) on the street at Arrowhead Stadium. Kansas City comfortably won both meetings with Las Vegas last season, so Josh McDaniels’ side will be looking for revenge this season.
