New York Yankees center fielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. is likely headed to the injured list following a left UCL injury, as confirmed by manager Aaron Boone on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old player suffered the injury during the Yankees’ significant 12-2 defeat against the Chicago White Sox on Monday, occurring while he was sliding into home plate.

Reports on Tuesday indicated that the Yankees are still evaluating the injury’s severity and whether surgical intervention will be required.
