NCAA Tournament projections reveal that Tennessee, Iowa State, Auburn, and Oregon are currently leading as the top seeds as 2025 approaches, signaling an exciting time in college basketball with conference matchups heating up!
In his latest update, FOX Sports analyst Mike DeCourcy shared his NCAA Tournament predictions. While the frontrunners remain stable, a notable blue-blood program has surged up the rankings after a significant weekend win.
According to DeCourcy, Tennessee (Midwest), Iowa State (East), Auburn (South), and Oregon (West) hold the coveted No. 1 seed positions in the current bracket forecast.
Duke, Alabama, Marquette, and Mississippi State are positioned as the No. 2 seeds, while Kentucky, UConn, Kansas, and Texas A&M occupy the No. 3 seed slots.
The No. 4 seeds in DeCourcy’s projections include Michigan State, Florida, Maryland, and Memphis.
UCLA stands out as the biggest riser in the latest projections, climbing from a No. 7 seed to a No. 5 seed in the East Region after a narrow 65-62 victory against Gonzaga. This win has shifted Gonzaga down to a No. 6 seed.
On the bubble, DeCourcy identifies Texas Tech, Saint Mary’s, Vanderbilt, and Penn State as the last four teams in the tournament. Meanwhile, Northwestern, BYU, Missouri, and Georgetown are the first four teams out, followed closely by North Carolina, Iowa, Washington State, and Arizona.
The SEC leads the way with the most teams represented, boasting 13 entries in DeCourcy’s projections. The Big Ten follows with 11 teams, while the Big 12 contributes eight. The ACC has four, and the Big East claims three teams, with the Mountain West, West Coast, and Atlantic 10 each having two teams.
