Michigan standout tight end Colston Loveland has been ruled out for the game against No. 11 USC on Saturday.

Loveland, a key player for the Wolverines, is sidelined due to an undisclosed injury. He reportedly sustained a shoulder injury during Michigan’s recent 28-18 win over Arkansas State. Although head coach Sherrone Moore has not provided specific details about the injury, Loveland’s absence will certainly impact the team’s offensive strategy.

In addition to Loveland’s absence, the Wolverines will introduce a new starting quarterback. Junior Alex Orji is set to take the reins after Davis Warren’s inconsistent performance. Orji has completed 3 of 6 passes for 15 yards over three games and has also contributed 58 rushing yards, showcasing his dual-threat capability.

Kickoff for the highly anticipated Michigan-USC matchup is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET, promising an exciting showdown despite the challenges facing the Wolverines.
