Mavs star Luka Doncic is currently dealing with a right wrist sprain that will keep him off the court during a challenging three-game road trip, which kicks off Friday night in Denver.
The Dallas Mavericks announced on Thursday that the five-time All-Star will undergo a re-evaluation in one week. This road trip also includes stops in Miami and Atlanta, indicating that Doncic is likely to miss the home game against the New York Knicks on Wednesday as well.
Doncic reported feeling discomfort in his wrist during the first quarter of a dominant 132-91 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday, raising concerns about his health.
Prior to this injury, Doncic had missed a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a right knee contusion, marking the first absence of his season.
Currently, Doncic ranks eighth in the NBA, averaging 28.1 points per game, contributing to a formidable backcourt alongside Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson. Irving is also making his mark, averaging 24.3 points per game, as the Mavericks aim to maintain their competitive edge in the Western Conference.
