Lakers Set to Honor Kobe and Gianna Bryant with Exclusive Statue Reveal This Friday!

Lakers will reportedly unveil statue of Kobe Bryant, daughter Gianna in private ceremony Friday

The Los Angeles Lakers will reportedly unveil a statue honoring Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna on Friday during a private ceremony held outside Crypto.com Arena, as per a recent ESPN report.

This poignant statue will depict both Bryant and Gianna, who tragically lost their lives in a helicopter accident in January 2020, along with seven others. A memorial statue of the father-daughter duo was previously erected at the crash site in Calabasas, California, marking the two-year anniversary of the devastating event.

In February, the Lakers revealed their first statue of Bryant, capturing the iconic moment he celebrated after scoring 81 points against the Toronto Raptors in 2006—a record that stands as the second-highest single-game scoring achievement in NBA history.

The third statue, yet to be scheduled, will showcase Bryant in his No. 24 jersey, a number he wore later in his career, alongside his earlier No. 8.

Fans will have the opportunity to view the second statue starting Saturday, allowing them to pay their respects to the basketball legend and his beloved daughter.
