Jimmy Butler plays in Suns-themed sneakers hours after Phoenix acquires trade assets, making his intentions crystal clear.
Just a short time after the Phoenix Suns secured three future first-round picks from the Utah Jazz in exchange for another first-round pick, Butler stepped onto the court for the Miami Heat, donning sneakers that flaunted the vibrant colors of the Suns.
The Suns now have the opportunity to leverage these three picks to enhance their roster before the trade deadline. Multiple media reports have linked the franchise to the Miami Heat’s star player, Jimmy Butler, who recently returned to the team following a seven-game suspension for “conduct detrimental to the team.”
With the recent acquisitions, the Suns hold first-round picks in 2025, 2027, and 2029, which are the least favorable selections from Cleveland and Minnesota in 2025, and from Cleveland, Utah, and Minnesota in both 2027 and 2029.
In turn, the Jazz have obtained the Suns’ unprotected first-round pick for 2031.
Despite having superstars like Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal on their roster, the Suns have struggled this season, posting a disappointing 21-21 record.
