The Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New York Jets are set to host home games in London as part of the NFL’s 2025 international lineup.
The announcement regarding the host teams was made by the NFL on Friday. Details about their opponents, along with specific dates and kickoff times, will be disclosed when the complete schedule for 2025 is released in the spring.
This fall, the Browns and Jets will face off at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Cleveland has a record of 0-1 in London, suffering a defeat against Minnesota in 2017. The Jets, currently in search of a new general manager and head coach, hold a 1-2 record in London, which includes a recent loss to the Vikings.
Henry Hodgson, the NFL U.K. & Ireland general manager, expressed the significance of the London games, stating, “This season will see us surpass 40 regular-season games in the capital, highlighting the U.K.’s role in expanding the game’s global reach. The London games continue to be a vital part of year-round fan engagement, as we aim to serve our 15 million fans, connect with new communities, and promote flag football, which now sees over 100,000 young players.”
The Jaguars will return to Wembley Stadium as part of a multiyear agreement that allows them to play one home game each year in London. With a record of 7-6 in London, Jacksonville has participated in consecutive games over the past two seasons, alternating between home and visiting roles.
As the Jaguars search for a new head coach, they will only participate in one London game in 2025.
Both the Jets and Jaguars hold marketing rights in the U.K. through the NFL’s Global Markets Program, which empowers teams to enhance brand awareness and cultivate a fanbase beyond American borders.
Starting in 2025, the NFL plans to schedule up to eight regular-season games internationally. This includes games in Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and in Berlin at the Olympic Stadium.
In the history of the NFL, a total of 55 regular-season games have been played globally, with London hosting 39 of those matchups.
