Riley Duran transitioned into the professional arena at the end of the 2023-24 season, inking an entry-level deal with the Boston Bruins. After completing his third year at Providence College, Duran moved downtown to join the Bruins’ AHL affiliate. In his initial 11 regular-season games, he netted two goals and provided two assists, participating in all four of the P-Bruins’ playoff matches.
Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 195 pounds, Duran is highly motivated to secure a spot on the Boston team. Attending his fourth Development Camp, he expressed how donning the Bruins logo fuels his daily drive. “I come to camp, give it my all, and hopefully things work out,” Duran shared after a development session at Warrior Ice Arena.
Spending the summer skating with seasoned pros, Duran aims to elevate his game by September. Adam McQuaid, Boston’s Player Development Coordinator, noted Duran’s reliability and strong play along the boards during his short stint with the P-Bruins. According to McQuaid, Duran has distinguished himself as a player the coaches trust, a remarkable feat for someone so new to the professional level.
