The second-placed Blue Devils impressed this weekend with a 78-73 win over the No. 3 Texas Tech Red Raiders on Thursday and a 78-69 win over the No. 4 Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday.

It’s definitely worth noting, however, that the North Carolina Tar Heels defeated Duke 94-81 in their final regular-season meeting on Saturday, March 5 and UNC, and were equally impressive in wins against top-seeded Baylor Bears and No. 4 UCLA-Bruins .

Of course, North Carolina also finished the Saint Peter’s Peacocks’ Cinderella run in 15th place with a 69-49 win on Sunday.

In the other semifinal encounter, the only remaining No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks have already reduced their spreads in their matchup against the No. 2 Villanova Wildcats.

This is a particularly interesting line move considering that 79 percent of the bets and 89 percent of the handle went to the Jayhawks.

Additionally, Villanova guard Justin Moore’s season is over after he tore his right Achilles tendon in the final minute of Saturday’s 50-44 win over Houston. Moore averaged 13 points in 34.5 minutes over the first four games of the tournament and will be missed.
