Christian Pulisic limped out of AC Milan’s match against Como on Tuesday, raising fresh injury fears for the talented United States international.
The 26-year-old was forced to leave the game just before halftime, leaving his team with only 10 players for the closing moments of the first half. Alejandro Jiménez took his place in the second half.
Pulisic’s injury occurred when Como defender Marc-Oliver Kempf caught him on the ankle. He quickly signaled for medical assistance, indicating discomfort in his left thigh.
His status for the upcoming match against Juventus on Saturday remains uncertain.
This injury setback comes shortly after Pulisic made his return from a previous issue. He had only just rejoined the squad during the Italian Super Cup, where Milan emerged victorious. Prior to that, he had been sidelined for nearly a month due to a muscle tear in his right calf, followed by a minor ankle problem.
During his brief return, Pulisic showcased his skills by scoring in both the semifinal and final of the Italian Super Cup.
He has been a standout performer for Milan this season, netting five goals and providing four assists in Serie A, along with three goals in the Champions League.
Despite his absence, Milan managed to secure a 2-1 victory against Como.
