Bills offensive line makes its MVP choice clear with Josh Allen’s Christmas gift

The Buffalo Bills’ offensive line made their MVP choice clear through a thoughtful Christmas gift for their star quarterback.

They presented Josh Allen with a stunning monogrammed diamond necklace, crafted in the shape of a football jersey. The piece features Allen’s number (17) and “MVP” prominently displayed on the front, while the back is engraved with the names of the offensive linemen, symbolizing their support and camaraderie.

“That is so sick,” Allen exclaimed in a video capturing the moment he received the gift, showcasing his genuine appreciation.

Typically, it is the quarterbacks who shower their linemen with lavish gifts. While it’s uncertain if Allen reciprocated this year, he has a history of generous gestures. In 2022, he surprised them with custom scooters, and in 2020, he gifted a set of Callaway golf clubs along with lessons at a local course. Last year, his teammates treated him to an ATV.

In terms of performance, Lamar Jackson has excelled statistically this season, ranking third in the league with 3,955 passing yards, tied for first in passing touchdowns (39), and leading in passer rating (121.6) while also adding 852 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns.

However, narratives surrounding the MVP race seem to lean towards Allen. The Buffalo offense has remained strong despite the offseason trade of Stefon Diggs. Allen’s stats include 3,549 passing yards, 26 touchdowns, and six interceptions, alongside a passer rating of 101.2. He outshines Jackson in rushing touchdowns, with 11 to Jackson’s four. Recently, Allen led the Bills to victories against the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions, throwing for 624 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for 123 yards and three touchdowns in those games.

Allen will have another opportunity to solidify his MVP case when the Bills face the New York Jets on Sunday. A victory would secure the No. 2 seed in the AFC for Buffalo, allowing them to rest key players in Week 18.

Clearly, Allen’s offensive linemen have expressed their belief in his MVP candidacy through their generous gesture.
