It’s no secret that this is arguably the saddest time in the history of legal sports betting both in the United States and elsewhere.
Luckily, bookmakers around the world have been working overtime to offer new betting opportunities during the coronavirus pandemic.
Watching how world-class online sportsbook has adapted to an online-only service accepting bets in a sportsless society has proven to be an interesting case study, to say the least.
Offering odds and accepting bets on the weather, Pornhub traffic, Trojan Condom stock price and Marbula One (marble racing) are commonplace today as bookmakers continue to shift focus to more unique betting opportunities.
Entertainment betting has arguably never been more popular and the addition of odds on which celebrities will win the Ballina Cup 2020 is sure to make a splash at online frat parties.

What is the Ballina Cup and who is preferred?
The 2020 Ballina Cup – also known as the “Ball-in-a-Cup” – is a celebrity beer pong tournament hosted by rapper Post Malone and starts on Friday April 3rd. All proceeds from the event will go to charities that fund coronavirus relief.
A total of 16 participants will take part in the March Madness style tournament and games will be streamed live on Instagram @theballinacup for eight days with two games per night.
Oddsmakers at BetOnline Sportsbook favor NFL wide receiver Danny Amendola at +500 ($100 stake wins $500), but Mike Clevinger and Post Malone/MIKE are a close second at +600 ($100 stake wins $600) .
If this were a speedball tournament Johnny Manziel would probably snort and shoot his way all the way to the top, but he’s only listed at +1000 ($100 wager wins $1000) when mugs of alcohol and ping pong balls (hopefully clean) are the vices that are allowed during the game.
Rob Gronkowski/Camille Kostek could have significant value at +1000. There’s no doubt most would pick the legendary Patriots party tight end as their wingman and beer pong partner, but whether his girl “got game” is wide open to interpretation.
With opponents firing shots, it’s important to focus while intoxicated. For my money, Travis Kelce at +1200 is potentially the best value.
The Super Bowl LIV champion Chiefs’ tight end was essentially a Gronk Lite beer before he won a ring, but now betting on Kelce Extra Stout is more likely to get the most bang for your buck.
We’ll soon know who’s wearing the Ballina Slippers to the 2020 edition of the Beer Pong Big Dance. But if we could draft, drink, and bet on anyone in history to win, then chances are the late great John Belushi is crushing anything remotely resembling a beer pong contest.
