Aaron Boone Urges Yankees to Embrace Championship Glory with Class Over Flash

Aaron Boone hopes Yankees would handle title with 'more class' than Dodgers

Aaron Boone hopes the New York Yankees would handle the title with more class than the Los Angeles Dodgers did. Three months after the World Series, Boone expressed dissatisfaction with the comments made by Dodgers players following their victory over a less-than-stellar Yankees team in five games to clinch the championship.

During a press conference on Tuesday, marking the beginning of spring training, Boone was questioned about whether his players took the Dodgers’ remarks to heart.

Los Angeles pitcher Joe Kelly, on his podcast “Baseball Isn’t Boring,” noted that the Dodgers approached each game with a mindset of exploiting the Yankees’ defensive weaknesses, stating, “Just let them throw the ball into the infield. They can’t make a play.”

Jake Cousins sidelined and could miss opening day

In other news, Boone announced that right-hander Jake Cousins is dealing with a strained right forearm and may not be ready for the Yankees’ season opener on March 27. Boone indicated that Cousins could start throwing again next week, but his availability remains uncertain.
