Jacksonville’s Recent Momentum Against Indy

Jacksonville had been struggling before last week’s victory over Tennessee, where they ended a streak of seven losses in eight games. The Jaguars managed to secure that win, largely thanks to the strong performance from QB Mac Jones, who connected for two touchdowns, and WR Brian Thomas, who recorded seven receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown. This duo has formed a formidable partnership, combining for five touchdowns over five games.

“Brian just keeps impressing each week,” remarked Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson. “You can’t say enough good things about Brian.”

Mac Jones has stepped up in place of the injured Trevor Lawrence, completing 65.7% of his passes for 1,447 yards, with seven touchdowns and seven interceptions. His main receiving targets include Thomas, who has 80 receptions for 1,179 yards and 10 touchdowns, and Parker Washington, with 30 receptions for 375 yards and two touchdowns. The Jaguars’ running game is led by Tank Bigsby, who has 154 carries for 727 yards and six touchdowns, alongside Travis Etienne Jr., who has 137 carries for 527 yards and two touchdowns.

Jacksonville’s offense averages 18.6 points per game, ranking 27th in the league, and they accumulate 305.4 total yards, which places them 26th overall. Their defensive unit, however, allows an average of 25.6 points per game (28th) and 387.5 total yards (31st).

Jacksonville Jaguars Injury Report: Offensive lineman Walker Little (ankle) has been ruled out. Offensive linemen Brandon Scherff (knee) and Anton Harrison (illness) are listed as questionable, along with DB Darnell Savage (concussion).

Colts Missed an Opportunity Against the Giants

Indianapolis faced a disappointing loss against the Giants last weekend, effectively ending their playoff hopes. Despite outgaining New York 446-389, the Colts fell short, allowing 45 points while struggling with turnovers, finishing with a 3-0 deficit in that category.

“It’s hard to explain,” said Colts head coach Shane Steichen. “We had to play a complete game. We haven’t done it all year. We need to synchronize our efforts, and this performance is simply not good enough.”

Joe Flacco will once again take the helm as the starting quarterback for the Colts with Anthony Richardson sidelined due to a back injury. Flacco has completed 66.8% of his passes this season, totaling 1,497 yards alongside 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions. His key targets include Alec Pierce (35 receptions for 767 yards, six touchdowns) and Michael Pittman (63 receptions for 736 yards, three touchdowns). The Colts rely heavily on Jonathan Taylor, who has 269 carries for 1,254 yards and ten touchdowns.

Indianapolis averages 21.9 points (17th) and 328.9 total yards (15th) per game. Their defense, however, gives up an average of 25.3 points (27th) and 363.8 total yards (29th).

Indianapolis Colts Injury Report: Quarterback Anthony Richardson (back) is out. Offensive guard Quenton Nelson (ankle) and offensive guard Tanor Bortolini (concussion) are questionable for the matchup against Jacksonville.
