Bryce James, younger son of LeBron James, commits to Arizona

Bryce James, the younger son of NBA superstar LeBron James and sibling to Bronny James, declared on Instagram Wednesday his commitment to play basketball for the Arizona Wildcats as part of the 2025 recruiting class.

His father’s response was swift and enthusiastic.

“CONGRATULATIONS MAXIMUS!!,” LeBron James exclaimed. “SO PROUD OF YOU!!”

Bryce will follow in the footsteps of his brother Bronny, who played one season at USC before entering the professional ranks. Bronny was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers, making history as the first father-son duo to compete together in an NBA game.

Standing at 6 feet 4 inches, Bryce is recognized as a four-star shooting guard prospect from Sierra Canyon High School in Chatsworth, California, according to 247 Sports. This summer, he earned an invitation to the USA Basketball under-17 national team training camp, showcasing his growing talent.

He currently ranks as the 30th overall prospect in California and the 47th shooting guard in the nation, as per 247 Sports rankings.

Bryce joins Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd’s 2025 recruiting class as the second commitment, pairing with five-star recruit Dwayne Aristode. This addition highlights Arizona’s growing reputation as a destination for top-tier talent in college basketball.
