Lakers big man Anthony Davis exits Christmas game with sprained left ankle

Lakers big man Anthony Davis exited the Christmas Day game against the Golden State Warriors after suffering a sprained left ankle in the first quarter. This injury occurred as he awkwardly stepped while driving toward the basket, forcing him to leave the floor with 4:48 left in the quarter.

Following the incident, Davis headed to the locker room, where he was initially deemed questionable to return to the game. The 6-foot-10 forward had already been dealing with a bruised left shoulder leading up to this matchup against Stephen Curry and the Warriors.

In his brief seven minutes on the court, Davis struggled to find his rhythm, missing all three of his field-goal attempts and securing just two rebounds. His absence was felt by the Lakers, who rely heavily on his skills on both ends of the court.
