2024 NBA odds: When will the Wizards win next?

The 2024 NBA odds suggest that the Wizards are in dire need of a victory.

Not tomorrow. Not today. They needed it yesterday.

Washington has suffered a staggering 16 consecutive losses following a promising 2-2 start to the season. They failed to secure a win in any of their 14 games throughout November and have begun December with two more defeats.

When will the Wizards finally break this losing streak? Let’s take a look at the odds from DraftKings Sportsbook as of December 7.

Wizards’ Next Regular Season Win:

Hornets, Dec. 19: +240 (bet $10 to win $34 total)
Pelicans, Jan. 5, OR after this game: +600 (bet $10 to win $70 total)
Grizzlies, Dec. 8: +650 (bet $10 to win $75 total)
Hornets, Dec. 26: +650 (bet $10 to win $75 total)
Bulls, Jan. 1: +1700 (bet $10 to win $180 total)
Cavaliers, Dec. 13: +1800 (bet $10 to win $190 total)

As expected, Washington holds the unfortunate title of the worst team in the NBA.

They have the league’s lowest point differential at -16.9, allowing the highest average points per game to opponents (123.6, tied with Chicago), while also scoring the third-fewest points per game in the league (106.7).

Throughout this 16-game losing streak, they have only once lost by fewer than 10 points—a nine-point defeat to San Antonio on November 13, where they trailed by as many as 21 in the fourth quarter.

In these last 16 games, they have endured eight losses by 20 points or more.

Clearly, the situation is dire.

The Wizards’ next challenge comes against the Nuggets on Saturday. According to DraftKings, Washington is a 13.5-point underdog in this matchup.
