USMNT to open 2025 schedule with friendly against Venezuela

The U.S. men’s national team is set to kick off its 2025 calendar with a friendly match against Venezuela on January 18 at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

This matchup, announced on Monday, falls outside the FIFA international fixture window, meaning both teams will be missing many of their regular players based in Europe.

Under the guidance of new head coach Mauricio Pochettino, the American squad will conduct a training camp prior to the game, focusing on talents from Major League Soccer to build team chemistry and strategy.
