2025 NCAA Tournament projections are heating up, and college basketball enthusiasts have plenty to discuss!
Mike DeCourcy of FOX Sports has released his inaugural forecast for this season’s NCAA Tournament, offering insights that fans won’t want to miss.
Leading the pack are Tennessee (Midwest), Iowa State (East), Auburn (South), and Oregon (West), each securing a coveted No. 1 seed in DeCourcy’s early predictions.
Following closely, the No. 2 seeds include Duke, Alabama, Marquette, and Mississippi State. Meanwhile, the No. 3 seeds are Kentucky, UConn, Kansas, and Texas A&M, showcasing a diverse range of competitive teams.
In DeCourcy’s initial lineup, Michigan State, Florida, Maryland, and Gonzaga have claimed the No. 4 seeds, adding even more excitement to the mix.
For teams on the bubble, DeCourcy identifies Texas Tech, Saint Mary’s, Vanderbilt, and Penn State as the last four squads vying for a spot in the tournament. Notably, Northwestern, BYU, Missouri, and Georgetown are the first four teams left out, while North Carolina, Iowa, Washington State, and Arizona follow closely behind.
The SEC stands out with the most representation, boasting 13 teams in DeCourcy’s initial assessment. The Big Ten follows with 11, while the Big 12 contributes eight teams. The ACC and Big East add four and three teams, respectively, while the Mountain West, West Coast, and Atlantic 10 each have two teams making the cut.
