2025 NCAA Tournament projections: Bracketology and March Madness predictions

2025 NCAA Tournament projections are heating up as college basketball fans eagerly anticipate March Madness. FOX Sports bracket expert Mike DeCourcy has released his latest insights into the tournament landscape.

In DeCourcy’s current bracket, Tennessee (West), Duke (East), Auburn (South), and Iowa State (Midwest) continue to hold their positions as No. 1 seeds. Despite a tough loss to Florida last week, the Volunteers showcased resilience with a strong victory over Texas, proving their mettle under pressure.

The No. 2 seeds remain stable with Marquette, Alabama, and Oregon, while Florida’s impressive back-to-back wins against Tennessee and Arkansas have propelled them into the 2-line. Additionally, Michigan State and Kentucky have climbed to No. 3 seeds, joining Kansas and Texas A&M in a competitive bracket.

The No. 4 seeds, according to DeCourcy’s projections, consist of Houston, Memphis, Purdue, and Mississippi State, each vying for a favorable position as the tournament approaches.

On the bubble, DeCourcy identifies Texas Tech, New Mexico, Creighton, and Iowa as the last four teams projected to enter the tournament. Conversely, Texas, St. Bonaventure, Indiana, and Georgetown find themselves as the first four teams left out, highlighting the fierce competition for a coveted spot.

Following closely, SMU, Arizona State, Penn State, and Cincinnati are next in line to make their case for inclusion, reflecting the unpredictable nature of college basketball.

The SEC leads the way in DeCourcy’s latest analysis, boasting 12 teams in the mix. The Big Ten follows with 11 representatives, while the Big 12 secures seven spots. The ACC and Big East contribute five and four teams, respectively. Meanwhile, the Mountain West and West Coast Conference each have three and two teams, illustrating the diverse talent across the nation.
