Washington Wizards vs. Detroit Pistons

Washington won their second straight as they took down the Bulls on Saturday night. The Wizards entered Sunday tied for 10th in the Eastern Conference, 2.5 games behind the Heat for the final playoff spot. Washington led by two after the opening quarter before outscoring Chicago 42-29 in the second quarter to take a 15-point halftime edge. The Wizards didn’t let the Bulls closer than six the rest of the way. Washington shot a sizzling 57.9 percent from the floor, including 12 of 27 from three-point range, and overcame Chicago shooting 50.5 percent in the game.

Detroit run up their third straight win as they swept a home and home set with the Knicks by prevailing Friday night. The Pistons entered Sunday ninth in the Eastern Conference, half a game behind the Heat for the final playoff spot. Detroit bolted to a 19-point lead after the opening quarter, saw their lead trimmed to nine at the half and five after three quarters. The Pistons regrouped in the fourth, outscoring the Knicks 31-19 to earn the win. Detroit shot 48.8 percent from the field, including 13 of 30 from three-point range, and won the rebounding battle 46-39.

The Pistons have won big in their last three outings, and Wayne Ellington should be a perfect fit to their offense. Incredibly, the Wizards are 5-21 ATS in their last 26 road games vs. teams with winning home records. Lay it.
