NBA – FRI 3/8 | 10:30 PM EST | ORACLE ARENA
The sinking Golden State Warriors will have another huge test on their hands on Friday night when the Denver Nuggets come to town. After going on a five-game win streak, the Nuggets fell in three straight games to the Utah Jazz, New Orleans Pelicans and San Antonio Spurs. Meanwhile, the Warriors have lost five of their last eight games, including Tuesday’s home beat down by the Celtics on Tuesday night. Even without Klay Thompson on the floor, who would ever think a team composed of Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, DeMarcus Cousins and Draymond Green could only muster 95 points of offense on their home floor? The word ugly should actually be considered an understatement when describing the Golden State’s careless performance against the Celtics.
The Warriors have covered just once in their last 10 outings, but my numbers see them getting healthy Friday against the Nuggets and delivering a cash against the modest number. I’ve got the Warriors winning by double figures in the majority of simulations and beating the spread at least 60 percent of the time. Lay the points.
